Hydrating Lip Products

I have a love-hate relationship with winter, my ideal weather is cold and snowy but winter dries 

out my skin, scalp and most of all, my lips. Here are nine of my favorite hydrating lip products 

for combatting winter. 

Burt’s Bees

My best friend during the winter is Burt's Bees chapstick. I apply it multiple times a day, every

day. Also, putting chapstick on your lips before applying lipstick helps ensure less product

accumulates in the cracks of your lips. This is my all-time favorite brand of chapstick.

Curology Lip Balm

Curology’s lip balm is another one of my winter staples. This product smells like 

vanilla and has a waxy consistency. Yet, it comes in a small tin, so the only way to apply 

it is through using your fingers which is slightly less sanitary than Burt’s Bees. 

Nonetheless, this product works well for me, and the scent smells delicious.

Vaseline Lip Therapy

Vaseline is my other great friend during the winter time. I put this on every night before I go 

to bed in order to ensure that my lips do not crack or bleed. It also works great as 

a base for lipstick, helping to ensure your lipstick stays on longer. Vaseline also comes in

different colors, which is a plus!

Nivea A Kiss of Care & Color

I wear this product on a daily basis to school. Basically, Nivea combines a hydrating lip 

balm and lip tint together, creating a lip care product that tints and deeply hydrate lips. Nivea

also comes in many colors, my favorite is Sheer Berry.

Royal Apothic’s Tinties Lip Butter

Royal Apothic’s Tinites Lip Butter is one of the most hydrating lip butters that I 

have tried. Also, the packaging is very cute, it comes in a small, decorative pod. The lip butter

comes in several different shades. I have the shade 'Nude' because I often wear nudes or dark 

berries in the winter.

Clinique Chubby Stick

Clinque’s Chubby Sticks are the perfect moisturizing lip product in the winter, if you 

want something with a tint of color. These were the first lip tinted products that I owned, 

and I am still hooked. Also, they have a relatively sheer color payoff, so, if you’re not 

fully awake when you’re putting it on, it won’t be that noticeable if you make a mistake.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Crème

This product has a smooth, creamy texture, which is perfect for dry lips! The color also 

stays on longer than most other lip crèmes. 

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick

I am a huge fan of Tarte. Their packaging and products are absolutely amazing! This lipstick 

though, is my favorite product from Tarte after their blushes. The lipstick is very hydrating as the

lipstick has a lot of moisture built into it . Also, though the color pigment is not as strong as other

lipsticks, the hydration benefits are incredible! I have this in the color Angelic Nude and highly

recommend it. 

Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Natural

This lipstick combines moisture and a creamy texture for the perfect quick fix for 

chapped lips. It also has a nice color pigment and comes in multiple hues.
